Accessibility
We want everyone to enjoy their visit to Cleland and understand that accessibility requirements are different for everyone. If you have any questions that aren’t answered on this page, contact us by email clelandwildlifepark@sa.gov.au or call: (+61 8) 7424 5800
Carpark
We offer designated disabled car parks for guests with access needs. These parking spaces are located within our public car park adjacent to a paved path, providing easy access to our facilities.
Disabled toilet facilities
We provide disabled bathroom facilities, with both lefthand and righthand access, in our main toilet block.
Wheelchair hire
We offer a wheelchair for complimentary hire from our ticket office. This should be booked in advanced to guarantee availability and we ask for a $50 deposit, which can be paid by card or cash.
Step-free access and pathways
There is step-free access to our ticket office, café, gift shop, reptile house and koala loft. All of our main walking paths through the park are sealed bitumen paths. Please see our Accessibility Park Map for paths with a steep gradient.
Assistance dogs
Due to the free-range native animals in our park, and to ensure biosecurity and the safety of both our park animals and assistance animals is maintained, no dogs or other pets are allowed in our wildlife park. Assistance dogs are allowed in our café and gift shop, but must be on a lead and supervised at all times.
Cleland Wildlife Park is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience for all visitors. We continue to work on ensuring accessibility is considered alongside the health, safety and welfare of both park animals and assistance dogs.
If you have any questions, please contact us at clelandwildlifepark@sa.gov.au or call: (+61 8) 7424 5800
Carers Card
We recognise the Government issued Companion Card and Carer Australia Card. Free entry to the park is offered for one carer accompanying the cardholder when using one of the approved cards. Please let us know in advance if you are booking an experience and will need a carer to accompany you, as access can be limited due the space available and to safely manage animal interactions.
High and low sensory areas
High sensory areas include our cafe, gift shop, daily Koala Close-up and keeper talks. We are usually busier earlier in the day and during lunch and tend to be quieter from mid-afternoon onwards. Our walking paths around the park provide a calm, low sensory environment for visitors, but can be busy during peak holiday times.
