Cleland provides a variety of annual and special events for families throughout the year. Keep an eye on this page for event updates and information.

Junior Conservation Club Night Walk

If you are between the ages of 8 and 14 years, come and join the fun with our night residents.  After dark the park comes alive as potoroos, bettongs and bandicoots forage for food, wild bats wake up from their daytime slumber and wild possums come searching for fun.

Kids aged 8 to 14 years and their families will be provided with a torch or lantern to enable them to see the animals. Experience night darkness in Cleland Wildlife Park while listening, smelling and adjusting to a nocturnal environment. Feed potoroos, search for bats, and learn how to create habitats for nocturnal animals in your own backyard. The evening will end inside our Reptile House / Gift Shop building for hot beverages and light refreshments.

When: Saturday 17th October, 7pm - 8.30pm

Cost: $35.20 per child (please note park entry is not included and is required in addition to the cost).

This program requires children to be accompanied and supervised by an adult (max ratio of 1 adult to 3 children). Park entry fees apply to accompanying adults.

How to book:

  • Click on the Buy Tickets link (upper right) to visit our online booking platform.
  • Select the date you would like to attend.
  • Please select children only as the Guest Type when booking children's programs.
  • The default setting of One Adult must be unselected.
  • Add your session booking to your cart, and adult entry can be added to your transaction before checking out by returning to the bookings page and adjusting the Guests from Child to Adult.
