Ocean to Outback Interpretive Centre

The Ocean to Outback Interpretive Centre focuses on the four distinct South Australian environments – coasts and islands, arid ranges, deserts and backyards.

The centre gives you a glimpse of wild animals rarely seen. You’ll see nocturnal bilbies and tiny spinifex hopping mice. Our reptiles, such as venomous snakes and native lizards also live here, in controlled environments.

Find out how reptiles, small mammals, nocturnal animals and insects survive in South Australia’s sometimes harsh environment. You’ll learn how you can help to conserve their future in this unique glimpse into the diversity of South Australia’s ecosystems.
