Our ‘Junior Conservation Club’ is a fun exciting way for young people to connect and get a deeper understanding of our environment and the animals we share it with. We encourage those who are passionate and interested in nature and want to know more about the amazing world we live in and ways we can help it. Become a Junior Conservation Club Member and be a part of our mission to admire, discover and preserve our environment. Members will join our emailing list to receive a mystery monthly challenge and field journal, to guide them in exploring and appreciating nature in their local community. Members also receive discount to the JCC monthly activity-based sessions, which are held once a month between March and November.

Yearly Membership Details and Requirements:

Age: 8 – 14 years

Cost: $20 (expiry is 31st December 2022)

Membership Includes:

  • JCC Monthly Journal - Inside is a new monthly challenge for you to try! It’s also a place you can write down your own observations in your own backyard or on nature walks.
  • Subscription to our monthly 'Gumnut Gazette' – The gazette is aimed at young people, and covers topics around wildlife and our environment, including fun activities and engaging articles to share about the wonderful world around them.
  • 'Certificate of Appreciation' – In recognition for making the commitment to protect and care for our world, and congratulate you on becoming a Junior Conservation Club member.
  • The opportunity to attend monthly sessions– Sessions held at Cleland Wildlife Park that are hands-on and provide opportunities to explore particular flora and fauna related activities (sessions are held the last Sunday of every month. By becoming a member you will receive discounts to monthly sessions – available March to November)

Join our Monthly Sessions

The Junior Conservation Club monthly sessions focus on spreading the word about the environment, providing hands-on opportunities for young people to explore and understand the world around them. We encourage those who are passionate for animals and nature to get involved in these monthly activities. Sessions are for child participants only, however some sessions invite family to attend, please check below for details. The session are held at Cleland Wildlife Park and Cleland Conservation Park, and involve a wide variety of action based activities for participants to try!

Time: 10.00am – 12.00pm

Age: 8–14 years

Cost: $30.50 per session (not including park entry)

Capacity: Maximum of 15 children per session (sessions run without parents unless specified otherwise)

Sessions: Monthly session are held the last Sunday of every month (excluding April, see below)
