You'll notice some changes
So that we can comply with social distancing protocols and keep our staff and visitors safe, some animal experiences (including koala holds and reptile experiences) have been temporarily suspended.
There’s so much to do at Cleland Wildlife Park as all visitor trails on our 35 hectare property are still open (bring your walking shoes!). In addition to that, you can still get up close with our friendly animals, including kangaroos, emus, wallabies, potoroos, waterfowl, bettongs and more. You can even feed the animals for some great photos. Keeper talks are still available at designated times.
Social distancing at Cleland
Once you arrive at Cleland, you’ll see our wide-open spaces are the perfect place to practice social distancing and we have changed some of our experiences so that the park can be enjoyed while observing COVID-19 government guidelines.
We take the safety of our visitors, staff and animals seriously, so you may notice some changes at the sites as we:
Encourage visitors to observe social distancing (1.5 metres rule)
Encourage good hand and respiratory hygiene as much as possible
Increased cleaning of facilities
Install signage to help visitors understand current restrictions and advice

When can I visit Cleland?
Cleland is open! Please remember to book online in advance.
Do I need to book online?
No, however purchasing your ticket in advance will guarantee you can visit Cleland on your preferred day. It also reduces waiting time when you arrive and allows us to provide details for contact tracing if requested by SA Health.
Do Cleland Members have to book in advance?
No. Cleland members can come at any time.
Can I buy a ticket at the gate?
I have a voucher for entry or a current flexible entry ticket– can I visit?
Vouchers can be used as per their original booking conditions.
Can I book in a group or school group?
For education bookings please contact our education team on 8339 2769 or DEW.ClelandEducation@sa.gov.au. All bookings will need comply with all current COVID-19 guidelines in relation to group numbers and social distancing.
Can I change the date on my ticket, or get a refund?
Unfortunately online tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred, resold or redeemed for cash. Prices are subject to change without notice due to changes in government charges, taxes or levies. There will be no refunds due to inclement weather, animals resting, animals sleeping or exhibits closed.
