Launching into Lizards these School Holidays

These school holidays get up close and personal with some of Cleland's lively friends.

Meet and pat a cunning skink, a sleepy bluetongue, or a bearded dragon with our reptile keeper, and then see what the lace monitor is having for lunch in his outdoor enclosure. Uncover some fascinating lizard features on our self-guided discovery trail, and use the clues to design your very own super-lizard!

Cool down and get crafty at the kids pop-up craft corner in the air-conditioned Ocean to Outback Interpretive Centre.

Lizard Encounters

What: Meet and pat some of Cleland’s friends, and chat with our Reptile Keeper about their fascinating lives in the air conditioned Ocean to Outback Interpretive Centre

When: 10.30-11am and 1.30-2pm Monday-Friday

Lace Monitor Lunch

What: What has the lace monitor got in his lunchbox today? Visit the lace monitor enclosure and see the Reptile Keeper deliver some lunch and share some intriguing facts about this enormous reptile.

When: 3.15 Monday-Friday

Design your own Super-Lizard!

What: Pick up an activity sheet at the Ticket Desk, and uncover some fascinating lizard features on our self-guided discovery trail. Use the clues to be creative and design your very own “Super- lizard” to take home.

When: Available every day

Cost: Free with Entry

Reptile Hold Experience

What: Meet and hold a snake or lizard at the photo booth in the Ocean to Outback Interpretive Centre, both reptiles available to hold each day. Choose from a printed photo or photo USB to keep the memory of your new friend forever!

When: 12pm, every day

Cost: Prices from $15.50

Pop-up Craft Corner

What: Let the kids chill out after running around in the park at the pop-up craft corner in the air conditioned Ocean to Outback Interpretive Centre. Enjoy making paper craft activities like a pop-up frill neck lizard, a spiral lizard or snake, and an origami lizard friend.

When: Available every day

Wildification is on again this Summer!

Drop the kids off to enjoy a totally cool day in the park. Kids in Wildification get a guided tour, animal experiences, exclusive animal feeding, games, crafts, keeper presentations, and lunch, recess, and afternoon tea too!
Ice blocks and cold drinks are included to help stay cool in warm weather, with plenty of activities in the shade of the beautiful gum trees.

Places are limited, call to book now!

Sessions: January 7-9, 14-16, and 21-23

Daily: 9.30am – 4.30pm

Cost: $80.00 per day (plus park entry OR proof of membership)

Age: 5-12 years
